Birdwatch is seeking a skilled Home Evaluation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our clients by conducting thorough property evaluations and assessments.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct on-site property evaluations to document condition, systems, and deferred maintenance issues
- Develop a deep understanding of residential housing systems and be able to communicate effectively with clients
- Build strong relationships with clients and provide personalized service to meet their needs
- Identify and document major safety concerns and recommend routine preventive maintenance options
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure seamless service delivery and continuous improvement
- Broad property and maintenance knowledge
- Experience in home evaluation/inspection (2+ years)
- Trade certifications a plus
- Superior customer service skills, including ability to manage challenging clients
- Strong attention to detail, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently, self-directive, and detail-oriented
- Ability to work with challenging personalities with grace
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to recognize systemic problems and offer solutions to enhance and improve current systems
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays if needed
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors, able to lift 75lbs+
- Knowledge of geographic area (either Philly or DMV) required and ability to navigate the city
