Position Summary

The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Program Manager will oversee the strategic planning, execution, and management of all environmental health and safety initiatives within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations regarding health, safety, and environmental standards; provide necessary training to staff.
  • Prepare and submit mandatory safety and environmental documentation as required.
  • Collaborate with the EHS Manager to align on safety initiatives.
  • Lead efforts in securing permits and ensuring compliance for new operational processes and equipment.
  • Manage non-hazardous waste streams with an emphasis on cost efficiency and volume reduction.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive program documentation, including operational procedures and tracking systems.
  • Regularly assess and determine the status of waste streams through testing and review.
  • Design and implement innovative sustainability initiatives focused on waste reduction and recycling.
  • Work alongside consulting firms to address program modifications, remediation efforts, and compliance challenges.
  • Establish and coordinate programs aimed at minimizing workplace accidents and injuries, including conducting safety audits.
  • Develop and sustain training programs tailored to EHS standards.
  • Facilitate work-related Return-to-Work programs.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on safety performance metrics.

Qualifications for Success

  • Bachelor's degree in Safety and Health is preferred.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in EHS.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations.
  • Experience interacting with local, state, and federal regulatory bodies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
