Film Production Assistant

As a Film Production Assistant at Current USA, you will play a key role in creating engaging promotional and informational videos for our agency. Your responsibilities will include filming, editing, and publishing content for social media and other platforms. You will work closely with our team to develop concepts, plan pre-production, and execute post-production tasks. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in marketing and communications, working with a talented team and developing your skills in video production and editing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Film and edit promotional and inspirational videos, interviews, executive addresses, and short clips for social media
  • Export and organize footage, images, audio, and other digital assets
  • Photograph and retouch high-quality pictures of people, places, and events for website, advertising, newsletters, and social media
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of the communications department

Requirements:

  • Preferably a junior pursuing a degree in film, television, or a related field
  • Experience creating, editing, and publishing videos
  • Knowledge of various aspects of video pre- and post-production
  • Ability to quickly learn and use cameras and ancillary equipment, including DSLRs, light kits, microphones, and teleprompters
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Solid team player with the ability to work collaboratively and independently

Physical Job Requirements/Work Conditions:

  • Must be able to lift, carry, and set up equipment weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be able to commit to 16-20 hours per week
