Job Overview

Providence Place of Lancaster is in search of a skilled Culinary Specialist to create delightful, scratch-made meals for our community of 150 senior residents. Our mission is to provide residents with exceptional home-cooked dishes, interactive cooking demonstrations, personalized recipes, culinary classes, and the use of local ingredients to enhance their dining experience.

The Culinary Specialist will be responsible for accurately interpreting and executing recipes to maintain product consistency. This role involves direct oversight of all food production processes. The ideal candidate should possess comprehensive knowledge in food preparation and presentation, along with demonstrated leadership capabilities.

The Culinary Specialist will prepare and serve meals for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, ensuring that resident dining expectations are not only met but exceeded.

Compensation: Starting at $16-$20/hr, depending on experience.

Work Schedule:

  • Full Time: Shifts may vary (6am-2:30pm and/or 10:30am-7pm)
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays is required.

Key Success Factors:

  • A genuine passion for preparing homemade meals.
  • Exceptional culinary skills and relevant experience.
  • Willingness to mentor and train fellow team members.
  • Outstanding customer service abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as a Line Chef or Cook is mandatory.
  • The successful candidate will exhibit a friendly demeanor, excellent communication skills, and a strong focus on customer service.
