We are seeking a skilled Vascular Nurse Specialist to join our team at Magnet Medical in Manchester, New Hampshire. As a travel nurse RN, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing exceptional care to patients with vascular conditions.

**Job Description:**

The ideal candidate will have experience working with patients with vascular conditions, including those with peripheral artery disease (PAD), varicose veins, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), and venous insufficiency. You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments, monitoring patients for signs and symptoms of vascular issues, and preparing them for diagnostic procedures such as ultrasounds, CT scans, MRIs, or angiograms.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Patient Assessment and Monitoring: Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with vascular conditions, including gathering health histories, vital signs, and physical examinations.
  • Preoperative and Postoperative Care: Prepare patients for vascular surgeries or interventions, explaining the procedure, answering questions, and ensuring informed consent is obtained.
  • Educate Patients on Recovery Plans: Educate patients on recovery plans, restrictions, and signs of complications post-surgery or intervention.
  • Wound Care and Dressing Management: Perform dressing changes and wound assessments for patients recovering from vascular surgeries or interventions.

**Requirements and Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A current RN license in New Hampshire
  • Experience working with patients with vascular conditions
  • Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare teams
