Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) Operating Room to join our team at HCA Houston Healthcare Mainland. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical services.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patients prior to surgery and establish their understanding of the procedure being performed.
  • Apply aseptic technique to maintain a sterile field and assist in procedures or prepping patients for surgery.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of areas that need to be prepped for different types of procedures.
  • Collaborate with the perioperative team to ensure seamless care and communication.
  • Deliver quality nursing care services and promote a positive image of nursing.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (BSN preferred).
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in an Operating Room setting.
  • Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date).
  • Current BLS and ACLS Certification.
  • CNOR certification is preferred.
