Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Care Specialist to join our team at Banfield Pet Hospital. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our furry patients and their owners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Preventative Care: Conduct thorough physical examinations, administer vaccinations, and provide preventative care to ensure the health and well-being of our patients.
  • Diagnose and Treat Conditions: Accurately diagnose and treat a range of medical conditions, from minor illnesses to complex diseases, using your expertise and knowledge of veterinary medicine.
  • Communicate with Clients: Provide clear and concise information to clients about their pets' health, treatment options, and care recommendations, ensuring they feel informed and supported throughout the process.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues: Work closely with our veterinary team, including veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and support staff, to ensure seamless care and exceptional patient outcomes.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Continuing Education: Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest advancements in veterinary medicine and best practices.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or Equivalent Degree: A degree in veterinary medicine from an accredited institution is required.
  • State Veterinary Board License: A valid license to practice veterinary medicine in the state where the hospital is located is required.
  • Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) License: A DEA license is required for the handling and administration of controlled substances.
