Job Description

Alta Science and Engineering is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Project Manager to lead our site remediation efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the assessment and remediation of hazardous waste and petroleum-impacted sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement site assessment and remediation plans, ensuring compliance with CERCLA and related federal and state regulations.
  • Provide technical support and oversight of environmental investigation and site characterization, including planning, implementation, analysis, and reporting.
  • Direct and/or conduct analysis of environmental data to delineate the nature and extent of contamination and quantify human health and ecological risks.
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders, including state, federal, and tribal agencies, to ensure project objectives and timelines are met.
  • Develop project scopes of work, task orders, and cost estimates, and manage project schedules, budgets, and technical teams.

Requirements:

  • BS in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology, or other closely related technical degree; MS preferred.
  • 6+ years of experience with environmental site assessment and remediation.
  • Experience developing and/or providing technical review of site assessments, remedial investigations, feasibility studies, and other technical reports.
  • Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
  • Strong scientific/technical capabilities, along with organization, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Salary Range: $65,000 - $95,000 per year, depending on experience.

Location: Spokane, WA, Moscow, ID, or Kellogg, ID.
