Job Overview

This role requires strong leadership and coordination skills to oversee Advanced Practice Professionals in specific regions or specialties. The ideal candidate will ensure they meet their obligations and achieve expected results.

The Manager Advanced Practice Professionals - Cardiology will also develop and implement educational programs for Advanced Practice Professionals in their region and specialty. Administrative duties will be assigned primarily by their reporting doctor and regional administration, not exceeding 20% of their workload.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Lead a team of Advanced Practice Professionals, accountable for hiring, onboarding, training, development, and performance management.
  2. Work closely with physician and administrative leadership on these tasks.
  3. Deliver patient services under the guidance of a supervising physician or assigned staff physician.
  4. Conduct comprehensive examinations and relevant medical screening procedures.
  5. Document accurate and detailed information in patient records.
  6. Evaluate laboratory data when needed, order pertinent lab tests, and follow established protocols.
Requirements
  • Deep understanding of Federal and local Texas laws regarding Advanced Practice Professionals.
  • Familiarity with Joint Commission regulations regarding Advanced Practice Professional practice in hospitals and clinics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with various medical staff and personnel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to summarize complex information.
  • Leadership skills, including guiding, directing, mentoring, training, and collaborating with a team in a consensus-building environment.
  • Familiarity with computer systems, including Electronic Health Records, databases, Microsoft Excel, and Word.
  • Knowledge of prevailing system and institutional policies, bylaws, and credentialing requirements is desirable.
Education and Certification

Masters' or Bachelors plus 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification; CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION required.

Estimated Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 per year.
