Bank Protection Specialist

We are currently hiring a Bank Protection Officer to maintain visible positions in exterior locations of retail banking centers, providing deterrence of criminal activity and misconduct. The successful candidate must be able to handle potential conflict and interact with bank customers and associates in a courteous manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
  • Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
  • Sound alarms or calls police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
  • Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
  • Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitors entrances and exits.
  • Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensures that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirements.

Requirements:

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • Current driver's license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicle.
  • Must possess active CPL.
  • Must possess a minimum of one (1) year of previous security, safety, and/or protective experience such as law enforcement, military service with a favorable discharge, or Transportation Security Administration (TSA).
  • Be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
  • Be able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors.

The estimated salary for this position is $27.00 per hour. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, basic life, AD&D, and disability insurance, enrollment in our company's 401(k) plan, subject to eligibility requirements, seven holidays annually paid at time and a half if worked, and 40 hours of vacation after one year of employment at eligible work assignments. Unused vacation is only paid out where required by law.
