Job Description

Kleinfelder is a leading provider of engineering, scientific, and construction services. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Water Resources Design Engineer to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and analyzing drainage and stormwater management systems, as well as erosion and sediment control practices. They will work closely with our project managers and other designers to deliver high-quality designs that meet our clients' needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and analyze drainage and stormwater management systems
  • Develop and implement erosion and sediment control practices
  • Prepare reports and analyses for drainage and stormwater designs
  • Collaborate with project managers and other designers to deliver high-quality designs
  • Conduct site walk-throughs and field inspections to ensure compliance with approved designs
  • Attend office and field meetings to discuss project progress and address any issues
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in stormwater, drainage, and hydraulic design
  • 4-year degree from an ABET-accredited higher education institution in an engineering-related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CAD software (MicroStation or AutoCAD)
  • Ability to plan and organize work, analyze and solve problems, and prepare and support comprehensive designs
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
