Job Title: Water Resources Staff Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Water Resources Staff Engineer to join our team in New York City. As a key member of our water resources engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, stormwater management, and green infrastructure design.

Responsibilities:
  • Communicate with internal engineers, technicians, and administrative staff to assign and perform work.
  • Communicate with clients and outside agencies as needed.
  • Perform technical analyses, design, and evaluations.
  • Plan and coordinate aspects of work.
  • Prepare scope, budgets, and schedules for assignments.
  • Assist with proposals to provide professional services.
Requirements:
  • BS degree or higher in Civil Engineering (or related engineering field) with emphasis in water resources.
  • 2 to 5 years of related experience.
  • EIT certification required, PE in New York strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge/experience with modeling software programs such as Infoworks ICM, MIKE, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and GMS.
  • Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and design of various green and grey stormwater management features is strongly desirable.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with basic MS Office software.
  • Driving is a requirement of the position.
  • A clean driving record is required.
