Job Overview

Pediatric Therapeutic Services (PTS) is seeking a dedicated and experienced school-based Behavior Support Specialist to provide services to a local school district. As a Behavior Support Specialist, you will conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) to support student behavior needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct FBAs and develop BIPs in a school setting.
  • Implement and monitor BIPs to ensure student behavior improvement.
  • Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to support student behavior needs.
  • Collect and analyze data to inform decision-making and track progress.
  • Provide training and support to school staff on behavior management techniques.

Requirements:

  • At least one year of experience working with children or adolescents with developmental disabilities and/or mental health disorders in a school-based setting.
  • Preferred experience in applied behavior analysis and crisis intervention training.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively with others.
  • Completion of criminal background check, child abuse clearance, and FBI clearance.
  • Professional Liability Insurance with required limits.
  • Certifications in CPR/First Aid.
