Pediatric Therapeutic Services (PTS) is seeking a dedicated and experienced school-based Behavior Support Specialist to provide services to a local school district. As a Behavior Support Specialist, you will conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) to support student behavior needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct FBAs and develop BIPs in a school setting.
- Implement and monitor BIPs to ensure student behavior improvement.
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to support student behavior needs.
- Collect and analyze data to inform decision-making and track progress.
- Provide training and support to school staff on behavior management techniques.
Requirements:
- At least one year of experience working with children or adolescents with developmental disabilities and/or mental health disorders in a school-based setting.
- Preferred experience in applied behavior analysis and crisis intervention training.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively with others.
- Completion of criminal background check, child abuse clearance, and FBI clearance.
- Professional Liability Insurance with required limits.
- Certifications in CPR/First Aid.
