Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Materials Testing Technician to join our team in Columbia, South Carolina. As a key member of our Construction Services team, you will be responsible for inspecting and testing construction materials on various projects.
Key Responsibilities- Project Coordination: Coordinate with project managers to understand project requirements and develop a plan for material inspection and testing.
- Fieldwork: Conduct thorough inspections and tests of construction materials in the field.
- Data Management: Accurately record observations and test results using field and laboratory information systems.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to ensure that projects are completed efficiently and effectively.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in construction testing/inspections of soil, concrete, masonry, and/or asphalt materials.
- Two or more active certifications (e.g., ACI, ICC, DOT).
- Effective communication skills and basic math skills.
