Position Overview:
This role is designated for the Community Services Division within the United States Space Force.
  • Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in designated areas.
The physical demands of this position may involve lifting heavy items exceeding 50 pounds, rearranging furniture, and working from elevated surfaces.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure cleanliness of assigned spaces, including:
    • Vacuuming carpets and drapes.
    • Sweeping, mopping, stripping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors utilizing industrial-grade equipment.
    • Adjusting and replacing components on cleaning machinery.
    • Dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures.
    • Emptying waste receptacles and ashtrays.
    • Cleaning glass surfaces, including windows and partitions, using ladders as necessary.
    • Disinfecting lavatories and replenishing supplies such as soap and paper products.
- Report maintenance issues such as leaks or blockages to the supervisor.
- Maintain an adequate inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when restocking is required.

Conditions of Employment:
- A background investigation is mandatory for this position.
- Completion of a pre-employment physical examination is required, with periodic evaluations thereafter.
- This position may involve shift work, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications:

- Experience in cleaning and sanitizing practices is essential.
- Ability to operate and maintain powered cleaning equipment is required.
- Physical capability to lift and carry objects weighing 50 pounds or more.
