Critical Care Advanced Practice Provider

We are seeking a highly skilled Critical Care Advanced Practice Provider to join our team at the University of Minnesota Medical Center-West Bank campus. As a critical care provider, you will be responsible for providing inpatient care for critically ill patients in the intensive care unit and beyond.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, consult specialists, and coordinate care as appropriate in the ICU.
- Function as a provider with our West Bank critical care team, managing care on a 10-bed mixed medical-surgical ICU.
- Lead the adult West Bank Rapid Response team, providing urgent and emergent response and evaluation for treatment of adult patients.
- Respond to events, expedite assessments, and create a differential diagnosis and treatment plan quickly.
- Perform with outstanding collaboration abilities, working autonomously with telephone collaboration from critical care attendings and primary teams.
- A graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or formal Adult Nurse Practitioner training program.
- Licensed with prescriptive authority through the MN Board of Medical Practice (PAs) or MN APRN license with prescriptive authority through MN Board of Nursing (NP's).
- Certified or eligible for certification through ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA.
- Experienced in a critical care environment, with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an inpatient PA or NP.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead Code Blue, Rapid Response, and Stroke Codes.
