University of Minnesota Physicians, a non-profit organization, is seeking a driven individual to join our Critical Care team as a Certified Nurse Practitioner or Certified Physician Assistant. Our organization employs over 1,200 physicians, 300 advanced practice providers, and 2,200 health professionals and staff throughout Minnesota and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
As a critical care advanced practice provider, you will provide inpatient care for critically ill patients in the intensive care unit and beyond. You will join a team of over 20 Advanced Practice Providers and 80 physicians, providing cutting-edge care to critically ill patients throughout the M Health Fairview system.
Key Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or formal Adult Nurse Practitioner training program
- Licensed with prescriptive authority through the MN Board of Medical Practice (PAs) or MN APRN license with prescriptive authority through MN Board of Nursing (NP's)
- Certified or eligible for certification through ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA
- Experience in a critical care environment
- Strong pathophysiology, pharmacology, and knowledge of acute care treatment of patients
- Able to lead Code Blue, Rapid Response, and Stroke Codes
- Able to respond to sepsis alerts and treat per protocols
- Focused on education, detail-oriented, and a creative problem-solver
