As a Loss Prevention Specialist (LPS), your responsibilities directly influence the safety of the store and enhance the overall shopping experience for our clientele. By demonstrating a commanding presence, understanding theft patterns, and maintaining a positive demeanor, your vigilance at store entrances, exits, and high-risk zones will help reduce theft.

Your interactions with customers and team members will reflect our company’s core values, characterized by a confident, friendly, and energetic greeting, complete with eye contact and a smile during every engagement.

Your attentiveness, situational awareness, and dedication to upholding safety and security protocols will be essential as you monitor the entrance throughout your shift, focusing on minimizing opportunities for theft and dishonest behavior.

Your confidence, upbeat attitude, and proficiency in loss prevention strategies will positively influence behaviors, fostering trust and respect among customers and colleagues.

You will serve as a crucial ally to store and field leadership by identifying and reporting theft incidents and/or suspicious individuals to your Manager on Duty.

Key Responsibilities:

Professional Presence:

  • Maintain a polished appearance at all times, adhering to the designated dress code.
  • Remain stationed at the front of the store, staying alert and aware of your surroundings.
  • Welcome every customer entering or leaving the store with a warm smile and a cheerful greeting, instilling a sense of security.
  • Foster a secure environment and minimize theft opportunities.

Knowledge and Communication:

  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of key theft areas and support programs aimed at loss prevention.
  • Effectively relay information regarding theft prevention during store meetings, collaborating with the Manager on Duty.
  • Conduct checks on bags and packages of store and corporate associates, ensuring compliance with safety and security standards.
  • Recognize your role in safeguarding the store and its assets.

Support and Training:

  • Assist in training associates on loss prevention programs and procedures.
  • Model safety as a top priority and promptly address any unsafe practices.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred 1+ years of experience in customer service, retail, or loss prevention.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while visually monitoring the store environment.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Analyze and comprehend business trends effectively.
  • Exhibit a positive demeanor, strong posture, and energetic greetings.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with focused decision-making.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills with customers and colleagues.
  • Possess strong leadership abilities that promote productive business relationships.
