Welcome to Sonova, a leader in hearing care solutions. We are seeking a highly skilled Hearing Care Coordinator to join our team at Empire Hearing & Audiology in East Syracuse, NY.

About the Role

As a Hearing Care Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring patients receive quality care and service. You will work closely with our clinical staff to schedule appointments, verify insurance benefits, and provide support to referring physicians and patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet patients with a positive and professional attitude
  • Place outbound calls to schedule follow-up hearing tests and consultations
  • Collect patient intake forms and maintain patient files/notes
  • Schedule/Confirm patient appointments
  • Complete benefit checks and authorization for each patient's insurance
  • Provide first-level support to patients, answer questions, check patients in/out, and collect and process payments
  • Process repairs under the direct supervision of a licensed Hearing Care Professional
  • Prepare bank deposits and submit daily reports to finance
  • General sales knowledge for accessories and any patient support
  • Process patient orders, receive all orders and verify pick up, input information into system
  • Clean and maintain equipment and instruments
  • Submit equipment and facility requests
  • General office duties, including cleaning
  • Manage inventory, order/monitor stock, and submit supply orders as needed

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associates degree preferred
  • Prior experience/knowledge with hearing aids is a plus
  • Professional verbal and written communication
  • Strong relationship building skills with patients, physicians, and clinical staff
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
  • EMR/EHR experience a plus
