Position Overview:
The Facilities Maintenance Specialist is tasked with overseeing emergency, routine, and preventive maintenance, along with regular inspections of the Center's facilities and equipment, in alignment with the philosophy, goals, and objectives of Texoma Community Center. This role will involve participation in a rotating on-call schedule and adaptability to changing priorities and maintenance requirements. The position operates under trauma-informed and recovery-oriented care models that align with CCBHC standards.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma OR GED equivalent with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in fields such as mechanics, carpentry, welding, plumbing, or electrical maintenance preferred.
- Experience with individuals facing mental health challenges, intellectual disabilities, or substance use issues is desirable.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Valid driver's license.
- Current motor vehicle insurance.
- Plumbing or Electrical License is preferred but not mandatory.
Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in a second language relevant to the served population is preferred.
- Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented.
- Exceptional knowledge of Office Suite is required.
- Consistently applies the Trauma-informed Model of Care, understanding the widespread impact of trauma.
- Aware of cultural differences and capable of working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
