Academic Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Academic Coordinator to provide academic and wellness support for intercollegiate student-athletes at the University of Vermont. The successful candidate will work closely with the Department of Athletics Student-Athlete Development program to support the academic and personal growth of student-athletes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide academic support to student-athletes, including producing and disseminating academic progress reports and communicating with coaching staff, administration, and faculty.
- Support the goals and activities of the Department of Athletics Student-Athlete Development program.
- Collaborate with coaching staff, administration, and faculty to identify and address the needs of student-athletes.
- Develop and implement strategies to promote academic success and wellness among student-athletes.
- Bachelor's Degree in Counseling, Education, or a related field.
- Two years of experience in a related field.
- Knowledge of the demands on student-athletes in an NCAA Division I athletics program.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Teaching or coaching experience.
The University of Vermont offers a competitive salary range of $23-$26 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package.
