Job Overview

Our Home is seeking a skilled and dependable Warehouse Material Handler/Forklift Operator to contribute to our manufacturing operations on the night shift. In this role, you will be tasked with the efficient storage, movement, and preparation of finished products for distribution.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Warehouse team in achieving objectives related to Safety, Training, Quality, Production, and Cost.
  • Perform counting, verification, rotation, and storage of raw materials.
  • Ensure proper segregation of raw materials, maintaining standards for organic and non-organic items.
  • Organize stock in designated locations according to established protocols.
  • Implement FEFO (First Expired, First Out) practices during the transfer and retrieval of goods.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including sweeping and mopping as necessary.
  • Adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Uphold the highest standards of safety and sanitation.
  • Supply production lines with necessary raw materials as needed.
  • Load and unload delivery vehicles as instructed, interpreting reports and work orders effectively.
  • Follow safety protocols for charging and maintaining forklifts.
  • Inspect incoming shipments for damage and follow appropriate procedures for claims.
  • Report any issues with raw materials, including expiration or contamination.
  • Wrap finished product pallets and prepare them for transport.
  • Pick products for shipment and document lot numbers as required.
  • Address any discrepancies with lot numbers or quantities.
  • Notify management of any equipment issues, including forklifts and pallet wrappers.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a warehouse setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with RF Scanners.
  • Forklift certification is mandatory.
  • Food Handler Certificate is required.
  • Basic math skills and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Proficient in computer usage.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and write in English.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while being self-motivated.
  • Physical capability to lift between 50 to 100 lbs.
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
  • Compliance with GMP-related personal protective equipment requirements.
  • Able to work in varying environmental conditions, including heat, cold, or humidity.
