Key Responsibilities:

  • Review work orders to determine packaging requirements
  • Visually inspect product for defects and transfer defective items to the appropriate location
  • Manual weighing and counting of product
  • Load product into packaging machines and monitor for proper function
  • Unload and visually inspect packaged product to ensure quality standards
  • Apply identification labels to boxes and accurately complete departmental paperwork
  • Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies efficiently
  • Use knowledge and experience to resolve basic operating problems and report to supervisor

Requirements:

  • Basic reading, writing, and math skills
  • Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Able to work accurately from verbal and written English instructions
  • Ability to lift up to 40lbs and sit/stand for extended periods
