Job Summary
The Field Operator II is a critical role within Weatherford's operations team, responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of equipment and machinery. This position requires a strong understanding of technical manuals, procedures, and work instructions, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the highest standards of corporate governance, ensuring compliance with Company's Security, Compliance & HSE policies, Management System, relevant laws, regulations, standards, and industry practices.
- Place Quality, Health & Safety, Security, and protection of the Environment as core values, while never intentionally placing employees, processes, customers, or communities at risk.
- Seek continual improvement in Health, Safety, Security, and protection of the Environment, taking into account responsible care, process vulnerabilities, public, customer, and employee inputs, knowledge, and technology, and best business practices to exceed customer expectations.
- Supervise and manage teams, providing leadership, acting as a mentor, and performing competency assessments for other co-workers.
- Perform duties according to documented Weatherford policies and comply with all Standard Operating Procedures and Work Place Practices.
- Participate in all daily operations and safety meetings, toolbox, Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), and report any issues promptly using the appropriate tools.
- Maintain equipment, facilities, and work area in a presentable and safe working condition.
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of all policies and procedures, related operational and non-operational documentation, support systems, and comply with all Technical Work Instructions, carrying out work assignments to the highest quality level and within time constraints as required.
- Perform functional tests, inspection, and monitoring of equipment with strict adherence to specific work instructions against their level of training and competence.
- Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using rules, calipers, micrometers, or other measuring instruments.
- Follow maintenance processes and procedures to undertake the following: unloading, disassembly, cleaning, pressure testing, visual checking, assembly, loading, and storage of tools, completing all necessary documentation as required against their level of training and competence.
- Rig up/down equipment with strict adherence to specific work instructions against their level of training and competence.
- Clean, lubricate, repair, and operate equipment as per work instructions against their level of training and competence.
- Service and maintain mechanical, electronic, and hydraulic components as per work instructions against their level of training and competence.
- Drive vehicles such as pickups, trucks, and truck-mounted units to well sites.
- Maintain a satisfactory driving record.
Requirements
- 1-2 1/2 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
- High School Diploma.
- Basic Computer Skills.
- Basic Mathematics.
- Perform maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and monitoring of equipment.
- Critical thinking, active learning, and listening, complex problem-solving.
- Good reading and writing skills, strong judgment, and decision-making to be in line with policies and procedures.
- Time management.
- Quality Control Analysis to ensure the product meets required standards.
- Capable to meet the physical demands that the role requires.
- Information and task ordering, and ability to identify when a problem may occur and, where possible, to understand the solution.
- Ability to react effectively and efficiently in operating tools and machinery.
- Ability to imagine how tools and products will look when preparing for assembly, repair, or modifications.
Travel Requirement
This role may require domestic and potentially international travel of up to: 50-75%
