Staff Accountant II Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant II to join our team at Creative Financial Staffing. As a Staff Accountant II, you will play a crucial role in our financial operations, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial information, reporting, and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cash Management: Process cash sweeps between money market and operating accounts for all properties as needed throughout the month.
  • Daily Balancing: Reconcile cash accounts to bank records and Yardi software to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Timely Financial Information: Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial information, reporting, product costing, and analysis to support sound business decision-making.
  • Monthly Closing: Take charge of the timely monthly closing process, maintaining efficiency and accuracy.
  • Financial Functions: Assist in performing various financial functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, treasury, costing, inventory valuation, and financial reporting.
  • Fixed Assets: Support the management of fixed assets, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Higher: Possess a degree in accounting or related field to provide a strong foundation for the role.
  • 5+ Years of Full Cycle Accounting Experience: Demonstrated experience in various accounting functions, showcasing your expertise and familiarity with accounting processes.
  • Advanced Excel Skills: Proficiency in Excel is essential, enabling you to analyze data effectively and drive informed decisions.
  • Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify financial process improvements and internal controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
