Job Summary

iDE is seeking a highly skilled Social and Behavior Change Manager to join our global team. The successful candidate will provide technical support to our nutrition programs in low- and middle-income countries, focusing on effective social and behavior change strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement theory-informed, evidence-based social and behavior change interventions to improve health and development outcomes.
  • Collaborate with country offices to design and implement project implementation plans, and provide technical support to ensure timely implementation and decision-making.
  • Provide quality assurance and program technical support to projects in each country, facilitating effective coordination and synergy across country teams.
  • Stay up-to-date with sector best practices and emerging market opportunities and risks, sharing knowledge with key colleagues across the program.
  • Identify, document, and share key learnings from project implementation, and support the identification and cultivation of transformational impact partnerships.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Nutrition, Agriculture, Food Systems, Behavior Change, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in behavior change management, with a focus on global health and nutrition.
  • Experience working in low- and middle-income countries, with a strong understanding of maternal and child health and nutrition initiatives.
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills, with proficiency in basic computer software.
  • Fluent in English, with proficiency in additional languages an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with high emotional intelligence and the ability to communicate effectively across language and cultural barriers.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative on multiple projects, with a strong ability to balance competing priorities and pivot to respond to time-sensitive requests.
  • Significant international travel required, with a willingness to work in areas with minimal infrastructure or services.
Language/Maternal and Reasoning Skills
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals, with a strong ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Location: iDE has offices in the United States, Cambodia, Ethiopia, Ghana, Honduras, Madagascar, Mozambique, Nepal, Vietnam, Zambia, and the UK. Salary: The salary scale is based on the 2024 iDE compensation framework, with a range of $70,000 to $75,000 for candidates based in the United States. Global compensation will be discussed during the hiring process.
