Job Opportunity

Clarke University seeks a dedicated and experienced professional to serve as the Chair of the Psychology Department. As a key member of the Health, Wellness and Behavioral Sciences Department, the successful candidate will lead the department in its mission to provide high-quality education and research opportunities in psychology.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Psychology Department in its academic and research endeavors
  • Teach a range of courses in psychology, including theories of counseling and psychotherapy, abnormal psychology, behavior modification, personality, and introductory or developmental psychology
  • Develop and implement departmental goals and objectives
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Represent the department in university-wide initiatives and committees

Qualifications

  • Doctorate in Psychology or a related field
  • Senior faculty experience preferred
  • Administrative and leadership experience
  • Technology and multimedia aptitudes
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a Catholic university with a strong sense of community
