About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Vehicle Test Engineer to join our team at Adecco US, Inc. in Milford, MI. As a Vehicle Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and regulatory compliance of our autonomous vehicle systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Test Planning and Execution: Support the planning and execution of closed-course autonomous vehicle system testing, ensuring that all tests are conducted in a safe and controlled environment.
  • Communication and Issue Resolution: Communicate and raise issues, as appropriate, with internal and external teams, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and aligned.
  • Test Case Development: Create and maintain test cases and test plans based on test scenarios and requirements, defining metrics, interfaces, and developing test methods for vehicle testing.
  • Collaboration and Analysis: Collaborate with project management teams to define the vehicle configuration, install instrumentation, and coordinate track scheduling, as well as support multi-functional root cause analyses of sophisticated fleet-wide issues.
  • Data Analysis and Processing: Use Python scripts for vehicle data post-processing and analysis, ensuring that all data is accurate and reliable.
  • Driving and Vehicle Operation: May occasionally drive Cruise AV/vehicle manually on public or Cruise private property, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Minimum associate degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Automotive, Industrial, or equivalent experience, with 1-2 years of experience related to systems testing in automotive, robotics, or similar fields.
  • Technical Skills: Basic programming skills to develop scripts for automated testing and data processing (Python, C++), hands-on experience working with and debugging complex hardware and software systems.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to sit or stand for up to eight hours per shift, use keyboard, mouse, and screen for up to eight hours per shift, perform physical work including, but not limited to, stooping, lifting, and moving up to 50 pounds, and walking up and down flights of stairs.
  • Other Requirements: Currently holding an active, valid regular driver's license from the state where based, successfully complete a background check, drug screen, and DMV Motor Vehicle Record check, as required by the local market record check.
Preferred Qualifications
  • AV/ADAS Testing Experience: Experience with AV/ADAS testing equipment and interface tools, i.e. 4A systems, AB Dynamics, OxTS, Applanix, Intrepid systems, Vector.
  • Linux and Robotics Experience: Experience with Linux-based operating systems and robotics middleware (ROS).
  • Vehicle Communication Protocols: Understanding of vehicle communication protocols (CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, Ethernet).
  • Autonomous Driving Compute Systems: Experience with autonomous driving compute systems, sensors, and communication protocols.
Work Schedule and Benefits

Full-time with flexibility to cover spike periods and modified shifts, including nights. Weekends required. We offer weekly pay and competitive benefits with options such as medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).

Pay Details: $40.00 to $48.00 per hour
