Position Overview:
The Capital Area Division (CAD) of Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) is seeking a skilled Lead Intelligence Analyst specializing in SIGINT, GEOINT, and all-source intelligence analysis. This role involves leveraging intelligence and information from diverse sources to evaluate, interpret, predict, and elucidate various national security matters that may be regional or functional in scope.

Key Responsibilities:
Successful candidates will be tasked with supporting the Office of the Secretary of Defense in the National Capital Region or on-site in Honolulu, HI. The responsibilities include:
  • Engaging with program managers, technical specialists, and operational teams to clarify and refine intelligence requirements related to their initiatives.
  • Delivering Intelligence Community products and outputs to stakeholders to facilitate program success.
  • Formulating production requirements to meet intelligence needs where current outputs are inadequate.
  • Collaborating with the Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, national laboratories, and academic institutions to tackle foreign military-related threats.
  • Providing intelligence-driven recommendations through technical briefings, reports, and various analytical documents.
  • Maintaining intelligence support for long-term research and development and acquisition initiatives.
  • Representing ABII stakeholders in intelligence-related discussions and establishing senior advisory panels to offer recommendations concerning systems and technologies.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (relevant experience may substitute for post-high school education with Government approval).
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Possession of a current and active TS clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Comprehensive understanding of foreign military order-of-battle, force generation, and related industry and infrastructure.
  • Extensive experience in intelligence analysis and a thorough understanding of Intelligence Community support structures and processes.
  • Familiarity with acquisition intelligence and providing intelligence support throughout the R&D lifecycle.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, coupled with excellent time management abilities.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of the Assault Breaker program, Office of the Secretary of Defense, and/or DARPA.
  • Experience in providing intelligence support in areas such as space, land, air, naval surface warfare, electronic warfare, and/or special operations.
  • Experience in supporting Defense modeling, simulation, and wargaming activities.
