Senior BI Analyst Job Description

Info Gain Consulting is seeking a skilled Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to support our Department of Defense (DoD) customer. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Tableau dashboards and reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop visually stunning, high-performance Tableau dashboards and infographics that provide actionable insights.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to translate their needs into effective data solutions.
  • Optimize new and existing Tableau dashboards for superior speed and scalability.
  • Mine large datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and outliers that fuel strategic decision-making.
  • Mentor and share knowledge with team members, fostering a data-driven culture.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability by employing rigorous testing and validation methods.
  • Utilize SQL and other relevant tools to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources into Tableau.
  • Provide expert insights on data visualization best practices and trends to improve the overall quality and impact of dashboards.
Requirements:
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must have and maintain a current DoD Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in business analytics, computer science, information systems, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Technical Virtuoso: Proven Tableau mastery (Desktop, Server, Prep); solid foundation in SQL and data modeling. Experience with performance optimization.
  • Analytical Thinking: You're as comfortable asking questions as you are providing answers. Complex problems excite, not intimidate you.
  • Data Storytelling: Your visualizations don't just inform - they persuade, resonate, and drive action.
  • Collaborative Communication: You bridge the gap between the technical and the business worlds with ease, tailoring your message to the audience.
  • Growth Mindset: Passionate about staying current with evolving Tableau technologies and always eager to expand your skillset.
