Job Title: Maintenance Garage Mechanic

Cedar Point is seeking a skilled Maintenance Garage Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our company vehicle fleet and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on company vehicles or equipment.
  • Operate tow trucks and service trucks in response to guest issues, including vehicle lockouts, flat tires, and out-of-gas situations.
  • Provide exceptional guest service according to Cedar Point standards, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions, and giving directions.
  • Able to perform related automotive and light truck service work as directed.
  • Willing to work any shift or days assigned.
  • Adequate tool selection to perform basic repairs and service work.
  • Knowledge to operate 4 or 8 ton wreckers and ability to tow vehicles safely.
  • Follow all company safety rules and policies, ensuring equipment is properly secured before maintenance work is performed.
Requirements:
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • ASE certification in auto repair (preferred).
  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions.
  • May work in confined areas, exposed to chemicals, lubricants, and fumes.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
  • Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
  • Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education, and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
