- Collaborate with senior engineers and inspectors to conduct quality assurance and quality control checks on construction activities.
- Document and maintain accurate records of construction progress, material deliveries, and site conditions.
- Review project plans, drawings, and specifications to gain a comprehensive understanding of construction requirements.
- Monitor and report on construction activities, identifying any deviations or issues that require attention.
- Assist in the preparation of progress reports, inspection reports, and project documentation.
- Participate in meetings with project stakeholders, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Support the implementation of safety protocols and ensure adherence to established safety guidelines.
- Strong interest in construction engineering and inspection.
- Knowledge of construction practices, materials, and techniques.
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting project plans, specifications, and drawings.
- Proficiency in using construction management software and tools.

- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
- Must complete a pre-employment screening; ICE is a drug-free workplace.
- Must be actively pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
- Academic Junior or Senior preferred.
- Prior internship experience is preferred, but not required.
At ICE, we believe that mentorship is a crucial part of our internship program. Our interns are paired with experienced staff members who provide guidance, support, and feedback throughout the internship process. This allows our interns to gain valuable skills and knowledge, as well as develop their professional network.
Physical and Environmental Requirements:The role involves moderate physical activity, including walking, standing, bending, and climbing stairs or ladders. Employees may occasionally lift objects weighing up to 80 pounds. It is essential for employees to navigate construction sites skillfully and conduct thorough inspections of materials and structures.
Expected Hours of Work:The ICE offices are open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, allowing an unpaid hour for lunch daily. Work schedules may vary according to the project schedule.
Compensation:The provided salary ranges are general guidelines; actual compensation depends on factors like educational background, experience, skills, certifications, and market trends.
