Physician Assistant in Athletic Training

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Per Diem Athletic Trainer to provide athletic training services for events and manage medical risk for athletes. This role requires coordination of preventative and emergency care while adhering to professional standards and maintaining effective communication with athletes and healthcare professionals.
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Athletic Training, state licensure, and BOC certification are mandatory qualifications for this position. As an Athletic Trainer with JAG Physical Therapy, you will be part of a winning team that is committed to providing exceptional patient care and outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Provide AT services for athletic events and competition
- Coordinate, manage, and implement the medical and risk management of all athletes, inclusive of preventative care (taping, bracing, etc.) and emergency care (CPR, first aid, etc.)
- Demonstrate speed, efficiency, and flexibility in the provisions of care, utilizing effective critical thinking skills
- Document injury, illness, treatment, rehabilitation, etc., in adherence with JAG Athletic Training policy, contracted site policy, and state of licensure professional practice standards
- Utilize effective communication skills to involve athlete, family, and others as necessary and appropriate in plan of care (within HIPPA/FERPA guidelines)
- Collaborate with other JAG professionals in programs such as Physical Therapy and refer for service when needed
- Regularly communicate with supervising physician pertaining to standard operating procedures, developed in agreement with supervising physician and covering AT, which the AT follows when not directly supervised by physician
