Unity Health Care seeks a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at the DC Jail location. As a LPN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, obtaining vital signs and initial patient history, and performing routine nursing procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Obtain vital signs and initial patient history.
- Initiate the prescribed medical care plan on each patient.
- Assist with obtaining consultations and referrals with other agencies.
- Perform routine nursing procedures, such as finger stick blood studies and urinalyses.
- Administer and demonstrate immunization techniques.
- Assist with clinical/medical procedures, such as pelvic exams and wound care.
- Record documentation of medication administration and treatment rendered.
- Provide patient and family education.
- Ensure adequate medications and supplies are ordered.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing School.
- Licensed or eligibility in DC.
- One (1) year of experience in an ambulatory care setting.
