Charge Nurse RN CVICU Leader

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Charge Nurse RN CVICU to join our team at HCA Florida JFK Hospital. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during your designated shift.
Responsibilities- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient care.
- Participate in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
- Support the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
- Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff. Recommend and implement courses of action, including training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, completion of performance evaluations, and/or disciplinary actions to ensure a competitively better organization.
- Assist with staff scheduling. Manage all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
- Support proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current State of Florida Registered RN License, or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions)
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certification via American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Advanced certifications (i.e. CEN, TNCC, etc.) preferred
- Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Must have a minimum of one year acute care hospital CVICU experience.
- Charge experience preferred
HCA Florida JFK Hospital is a 558-bed acute care facility located in Palm Beach County. We offer a range of services, including emergency services, cardiovascular care, neurosciences, and robotic surgery. We are a Joint Commission certified Primary Stroke Center and an American College of Cardiology Chest Pain Center. Our hospital is an American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer accredited Comprehensive Community Cancer Program. We offer two off-site ERs in Palm Beach Gardens and West Boynton Beach, providing the same emergency treatment for adults and children.
