Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Lincare Holdings. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of prescriptions and medical documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and enter prescription and medical documentation to fulfill dispensing RXs and billing RXs for pharmacy and insurance
  • Generate accurate prescriptions to be faxed to providers for approval
  • Enter prescriptions into the pharmacy system and communicate with providers for required documentation
  • Verify and confirm Medicare Part B benefits and supplemental insurance coverage with physician offices and insurance companies
  • Obtain pre-certifications and written insurance verifications as needed
  • Communicate with customers via inbound and outbound calls and enter customer orders and information into the computerized system
  • Verify and update demographic information and document information
  • Maintain a safe work environment and stock workstations with necessary supplies and equipment
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited high school or equivalent
  • Minimum of one-year clerical/office experience
  • Prior medical office experience and/or respiratory knowledge helpful
  • Education to meet state licensure requirements as directed by state of authority
  • Missouri Pharmacy Technician License or ability to obtain within requested time
Physical Demands

The employee may frequently lift and/or move up to ten pounds and may occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty-five pounds.
