Service Advisor Job Description

Diehl CDJR of Moon is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Advisor to join our team. As a Service Advisor, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer service, ensuring accurate data entry, and working closely with technicians and other advisors to deliver top-notch service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet Customers with a Smile: Welcome customers in a timely and friendly manner, setting the tone for a positive experience.
  • Accurate Information Gathering: Obtain detailed information about customers' vehicles, documenting concerns and repair orders with precision.
  • Expert Advice: Advise customers on maintenance intervals, adhering to manufacturer specifications.
  • Transparent Estimates: Provide customers with clear, accurate estimates for labor and parts, ensuring transparency throughout the process.
  • Breakdown of Charges: Offer customers a detailed breakdown of all charges, ensuring they understand the services performed on their vehicle.
  • Prior Authorization: Obtain prior authorization from customers or warranty companies for necessary repairs.
  • Telephone Support: Handle customer inquiries regarding appointments, work in progress, and other concerns.
  • Warranty Verification: Verify manufacturer and extended warranty coverage to ensure customers receive the benefits they deserve.
Requirements:
  • Customer Service Experience: 2 years of customer service experience, preferably in a DMS environment.
  • DMS Experience: Familiarity with DMS systems, with a preference for prior experience.
