Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Retail Merchandise Coordinator to join our team at TJ Maxx. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for supporting store management in the execution of administrative functions, ensuring an excellent customer experience, and maintaining a clean and organized store.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support store management in the execution of store-related administrative functions
  • Ensure an excellent customer experience by engaging and interacting with all customers
  • Maintain a clean and organized store, including the sales floor and backroom areas
  • Role model outstanding customer service and promote a culture of honesty and integrity
  • Take an active role in the hiring process and onboarding of new associates
  • Perform daily cash office functions and maintain cash office standards
  • Support the Operations Assistant Store Manager with scheduling, expense account monitoring, and supply inventory
  • Maintain proper associate coverage in service areas for a positive customer experience
  • Communicate effectively with management and associates to set and address priorities
  • Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback
  • Partner with management on associate training needs to increase effectiveness
  • Ensure adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures
Requirements
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
  • Outstanding communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Capable of multi-tasking and responding to changes in direction or unexpected situations
  • Team player with the ability to work effectively with peers and supervisors
  • Able to train others and provide recognition and constructive feedback
  • 1 year retail experience and 6 months of leadership experience

This position has a starting pay range of $13.00 to $13.50 per hour. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
