Position Overview

The Homework Assistance Coordinator plays a vital role in offering academic support to students enrolled in The Full PLAY program. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about helping students succeed in their studies.

As a Homework Assistance Coordinator, you will provide dedicated time for students to work on their assignments, guiding them through challenges, answering their questions, and offering general support. We prioritize homework time, ensuring that students have at least 30 minutes to focus on their tasks. Our commitment is to foster an environment where every student can complete their homework effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide academic support to all students in The Full PLAY program, including answering questions and offering guidance.
  • Maintain a quiet and safe atmosphere during homework sessions.

This role is suitable for individuals aged 16 and above who are currently in high school and meet the necessary work permit requirements. Ideal candidates will have experience working with elementary and/or middle school-aged children and possess strong problem-solving abilities, flexibility, and punctuality.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with elementary and/or middle school students or in after-school and summer programs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and motivate students to complete their assignments.
  • Commitment to engaging with students throughout homework time.
  • Dependability, fairness, and consistency in approach.
  • Patience, compassion, and kindness towards students.
  • Flexibility and proactivity in managing responsibilities.

This is a part-time position with flexible hours, requiring a work permit and proof of a negative TB test within the last 24 months. We are currently accepting applications for this role.
