Job Summary

We are seeking a Certified Caregiver for Memory Support to join our team of compassionate caregivers. This role provides basic bedside care to long-term care patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician, functioning within the scope of license.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care, including administering medications and observing patients for adverse reactions
  • Contribute to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Educate patients/families about disease treatment plans, self-care post-discharge, holistic health needs, available resources, and follow-up care
  • Assure resident safety by identifying safety hazards and emergency situations and initiates corrective action as appropriate
Requirements
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required
  • Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required
  • High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required

Based on the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average hourly salary for a Licensed Practical Nurse in Wichita, KS is approximately $26.00 per hour, with salaries ranging from $22.50 to $30.50 per hour depending on experience and qualifications. Compensation may vary based on factors such as education, performance, and relevant certifications.
