Position Overview

Salary: $5,833.57 per month DOE

The Center for Human Development, Inc. is in search of a Behavioral Health Court Coordinator and Dual Therapist. This role is dedicated to assisting individuals grappling with severe and persistent mental health disorders alongside substance use challenges, specifically those engaged in community restoration or behavioral health court initiatives. The position entails coordinating treatment services and overseeing the Behavioral Health Court as well as evaluations conducted by the Psychiatric Security Review Board (PSRB).

Relocation Assistance: CHD offers up to $3,500 in relocation support and up to $2,000 towards the first month’s rent.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in a social science discipline is required to qualify as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP).
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is preferred or a commitment to obtain.
  • Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) or a willingness to pursue certification.
  • Experience in Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT) and forensic community-based collaborative treatment is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills are essential.
  • Familiarity with assessment and treatment planning is necessary.
  • Willingness to undertake occasional on-call crisis responsibilities.
  • All Master’s level QMHPs must be credentialed as mental health investigators or be willing to pursue such credentialing.
  • A valid Oregon Driver's license and insurability for client service travel are required.
  • Must successfully pass all criminal history checks as mandated by ORS and comply with drug screening protocols.
  • If the Master’s degree is not yet completed, candidates must be enrolled in a program with at least 30 quarter credits or 20 semester credits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individual, family, and group therapy along with assessments.
  • Formulate individualized treatment plans.
  • Act as a court liaison concerning Aid & Assist, .370 population, and community restoration under ORS.
  • Serve as a liaison and treatment provider for the Union County Behavioral Health Court.
  • Collaborate with clinical supervisors and the behavioral health team to coordinate services.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of reports related to Aid & Assist services, PSRB, and Behavioral Health Court.
  • Coordinate legal skills training and case management with the Aid and Assist Case Manager.
  • Participate in agency and community committees as a representative of the Behavioral Health Team.
  • Engage in the Crisis Team rotation for backup support during nights, holidays, and weekends.
  • Comply with agency productivity standards as required.
  • Pursue investigator certification and conduct pre-commitment investigations as necessary.
  • Complete documentation promptly and engage in concurrent or collaborative documentation when appropriate.
  • Provide oversight for the treatment court, including meeting attendance, grant reporting, and budget management.
  • Ensure that treatment court policies and procedures are updated annually and adhered to during operations.
  • Oversee the statistical database and evaluation processes for the treatment court.
  • Facilitate ongoing training for the treatment court team and ensure new members receive orientation before their first staffing.
  • Work with the treatment court team to assess and place participants in suitable care levels to meet their treatment needs.
  • Utilize validated clinical screening and assessment tools for appropriate participant placement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
