Key Responsibilities

As the Retail Store Leader, you will oversee the daily operations of the GNC retail location in collaboration with the District Manager. Your role is crucial in driving the store's financial performance and fostering a positive environment for team members.

Your responsibilities include:
  • Enhancing customer interactions and assisting them in selecting the right products based on your extensive product knowledge.
  • Demonstrating a strong commitment to GNC's Vision and Values.
  • Achieving and surpassing personal sales targets while mentoring associates to reach their sales goals.
  • Exhibiting strong leadership skills by providing ongoing feedback to team members regarding their performance, as well as managing recruitment and performance evaluations.
  • Staying informed about new product trends and training associates on product knowledge.
  • Managing store operations, including cash handling, inventory management, and ensuring compliance with GNC procedures.
  • Ordering merchandise and supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels and store presentation.
  • Verifying the receipt of all merchandise delivered to the store.
  • Completing omni-channel orders accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Understanding and communicating all store updates, including product information and marketing initiatives.
  • Exhibiting strong multitasking abilities while meeting deadlines in a detail-oriented manner.
  • Collaborating with Loss Prevention to uphold GNC's policies and procedures.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in retail sales and management within a specialty retail environment.
  • Self-motivation and strong communication skills.
  • Adherence to all operational policies.
  • Ability to manage work schedules within budget constraints for optimal staffing.
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Compensation

The base hourly rate ranges from $18.00 to $20.00, reflecting the anticipated compensation based on experience and qualifications. GNC's competitive total rewards strategy includes this base hourly rate as one of its components.
