About the Role

ECLARO is seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst - Alternative Markets to join our team. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for analyzing policy premium balances and ensuring timely collection of outstanding premiums.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate outstanding premium balances to brokers and program administrators
  • Issue cancellation notices for non-payment of premium
  • Reconcile outstanding balances and troubleshoot discrepancies
  • Request disbursements for return premium balances and resolve unapplied cash
  • Collect outstanding final audit balances directly from insureds
  • Maintain accurate records of collection efforts
  • Clarify audit results and remove any doubt from insureds
  • Support collection agencies and provide documentation for direct collection
  • Support legal teams by compiling account documentation for litigation
  • Participate in special projects and system user acceptance testing
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 4-6 years of experience in the insurance industry, preferably in finance, collections, or premium audit collections
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Experience with Cognos, Power BI, Great Plains, or Alteryx is a plus
Competencies and Skills
  • Strong reconciliation, analytical, and business problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Attention to detail
  • Understanding of captives and/or reinsurance business is a plus
