Position Overview:
As a Project Engineer/Project Manager specializing in the EMS and Renewable Energy sector, you will play a pivotal role in planning, coordinating, and executing projects aimed at enhancing energy efficiency, reliability, and sustainability within utility operations.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning and Management:
- Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets for utility energy management initiatives.
- Coordinate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure timely project execution.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies for successful delivery.

2. Technical Expertise:
- Leverage knowledge of utility systems, including electrical distribution and renewable energy integration.
- Evaluate energy usage patterns and recommend strategies for optimizing efficiency and reducing costs.
- Design and implement energy management solutions, such as smart grid technologies and energy storage systems.

3. Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations related to utility operations and energy management.
- Prepare necessary documentation and reports for regulatory approvals and compliance audits.

4. Stakeholder Communication:
- Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, operations, finance) and external partners (regulators, contractors, vendors) to achieve project objectives.
- Communicate project updates, milestones, and challenges to stakeholders and senior management.

5. Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements and cost savings in utility energy management practices.
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in energy management and sustainability.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field); advanced degree or certification in Energy Management is a plus.
- A minimum of 10 years of proven experience in project management and engineering within the utility sector, focusing on energy management and renewable energy integration.
- Strong understanding of utility systems, energy distribution networks, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
- Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting complex technical information to diverse audiences.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to produce detailed specification documents.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with utility-scale renewable energy projects (solar, wind, hydro).
- Familiarity with energy modeling software (e.g., RETScreen, Homer).
- Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar credential.

Desired Skills:
- Experience with Electric Vehicle Chargers, Controllers, Battery Energy Storage Systems, Energy Efficiency, and/or Solar.
- Experience in using Salesforce.
