Financial Controller

At Rosehill Construction, we are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial operations of our vertically integrated construction and real estate company.

• Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely weekly and monthly financial statements for multiple related entities, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Ensure appropriate budgets are made, monitor budget performance, and provide regular updates to management. Prepare financial forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
• Cash Management: Manage cash flow and liquidity to meet operational needs and debt obligations. Implement effective cash management policies and procedures.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee the accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and tenant billing.
• Property/Capex Accounting: Maintain property-level accounting records and ledgers. Review property financials for accuracy and completeness.
• Internal Controls and Compliance: Establish and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and support to foster professional growth.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience.
• CPA preferred.
• Real estate and/or construction experience a plus.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and real estate industry accounting standards.
• Experience with related party transactions maintained in a single accounting system.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.
