About the Opportunity

Leidos is seeking licensed behavioral health professionals to support the Marine Corp Base in Kaneohe, HI, as Adult Military and Family Life Counselors.

\

This unique role involves providing non-medical support, including counseling, consultation, and outreach, to service members, military family members, and eligible staff. Our goal is to address and provide solution-focused approaches to issues before they become greater challenges.

\

Service members, spouses, and family members face unique emotional and environmental challenges due to the stress of military life. As a trusted partner, you will have the opportunity to reach them where and when they need it most.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • \
  • Counsel individuals, couples, and families on various topics, including transition adjustments and relationship management.\
  • Participate in activities with service members, military spouses, and families, offering coaching, guidance, and support to installation staff.\
  • Deliver presentations to service members, military families, and leadership at military-connected events.\
  • Promote positivity through approved materials and build rapport with parents and families by attending installation and community events.\
  • Assist with transition adjustments, such as new schools and homes, and participate in regular in-service training or other contract activities as assigned.\
  • Communicate information regarding trends and issues at assigned installations to Team Leads.\
  • Respond to emergent situations in any physical location on a military installation.\
  • Traverse long distances to both indoor and outdoor locations, maneuvering through rugged, outdoor, or uneven areas, and work in various weather conditions.\
  • Travel to locations outside of a military base in different physical environments.\\

Requirements and Qualifications

  • \
  • A Master's degree or higher in Behavioral Health Professions (MS/MSW/MA/PhD).\
  • Licensure to practice at the independent practice level (LCSW, MFT, LPCC, Psychologist) in any US State.\
  • US citizenship and an active passport valid for 6 months after the assignment end date.\
  • Pass a basic background check, Child National Agency Check, and Inquiries (NACI/CNACI) clearance.\\

Additional Information

The Leidos pay range for this job level is $57,850.00 - $104,575.00 per year, based on factors including responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreements, or other laws.

\
