Position Overview

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee and guide junior electrical engineers, engineering trainees, and CAD technicians.
  • Establish work timelines to guarantee prompt delivery of engineering outputs for proposals and ongoing initiatives.
  • Formulate methodologies for electrical engineering calculations, including string sizing, cable assessments, inverter specifications, and more.
  • Develop design ideas for solar photovoltaic (PV) and battery energy storage systems, offering assistance to various teams.
  • Engage with multiple departments and teams for design enhancement and support throughout project lifecycles.
  • Contribute to the creation of construction details and Bill of Materials for construction documentation.
  • Participate in design processes from initial concepts to buildable designs.
  • Examine utility interconnection documentation and create energy generation models for proposals and projects.
  • Apply engineering principles to optimize costs for solar PV systems.
  • Attend training sessions and promote effective communication within teams.

EDUCATIONAL & PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • At least 8 years of experience in Electrical Engineering, particularly in Solar PV and Renewable Energy projects.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, PVsyst, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Utility PV Engineering Contract deliverables.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
