As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for preparing patients, operating imaging equipment, and analyzing data to ensure accurate diagnoses.
Key Responsibilities- Obtain and verify patient information, ensuring accurate identification and preparation for exams
- Utilize optimal imaging protocols and technical factors to maximize patient safety and image quality
- Administer medications as prescribed by licensed practitioners, documenting activities in accordance with federal and state regulations
- Evaluate images for proper positioning and technical quality, verifying archival storage and data transfer
- Educate and monitor students and other healthcare providers, promoting a culture of collaboration and excellence
- Apply principles of magnetic resonance safety to minimize risk to patients, self, and others
- Assist licensed practitioners with magnetic resonance interventional procedures and perform imaging procedures as prescribed
- Select appropriate pulse sequences, considering established protocols and data acquisition parameters
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technologist and Certification Board (NMTCB) required upon hire
- New graduates must obtain ARRT-R registry or NMTCB prior to first day of employment
- Applicants hired after March 10, 2024, must complete steps required for advancing to level 2, including advanced certification, within 24 months
- Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Radiologic Technology (Required), Bachelor's Degree-Related Field of Study (Preferred)
- Minimum of 1 year-Related work experience (Preferred)
