Job Title: Software Test Analyst 3

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Test Analyst 3 to join our team at HighCloud Solutions. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the developed solution meets the business requirements and is free of defects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in requirement meetings and functional design document review meetings to understand requirements and author test cases.
  • Work closely with business analysts and business stakeholders to clarify requirements.
  • Prepare project test plans and test closures according to standard templates and adhere to DTMB and MDOT policies, standards, and guidelines.
  • Learns new tools identified for use on a project.
  • Prepares test scenarios and prepares test data to ensure the QA environment is ready for test case execution.
  • Executes test cases and maintains user story traceability against user stories/requirements.
  • Responsible for defect management, including identification of QAT defects and remediation tracking.
  • Works with UX/UI designers to assist with adding defects or raising defects in their absence.
  • Works closely with QA specialists on complex projects and on unique deliverables for projects.
  • Adheres to all QA processes and procedures.
  • Ensures all QA responsible SEM documents identified for the project are completed, reviewed, and approved in alignment with area processes.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience performing quality assurance and software testing with a thorough understanding of testing concepts and methods in manual and automation.
  • 5+ years of testing experience in the implementation of Agile and Waterfall development projects.
  • 5+ years of experience writing and documenting test cases in DevOps or other Agile tools.
  • 7+ years of experience testing Java-based applications and Oracle database.
  • 7+ years of experience developing Agile testing strategies and test plans for multiple related projects.
  • 5+ years of experience reviewing, understanding, and translating Agile User Stories to prepare test cases/scripts.
  • 7+ years of experience working independently and in a team environment.
  • Nice to have: 5+ years of experience writing test scripts with automation tools.
  • Nice to have: 5+ years of experience coordinating the Agile automated testing with the QA and development teams.
  • Nice to have: 2+ years of experience coding with Java to write test automation scripts with Selenium.
