- Discipline and Safety: Maintain a high degree of discipline within the classroom setting in order to ensure maximum learning and student safety.
- Student Progress: Establish a high degree of student/instructor rapport and complete evaluations of student progress in a timely manner.
- Confidentiality and Reporting: Maintain confidentiality but report significant events or situations immediately through approved channels.
- Facilitation and Support: Facilitate prompt and appropriate assistance to students in the event of injury, illness, or emotional trauma.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and evaluations.
- Equipment and Supplies: Ensure that equipment and supplies are properly cared for and maintained.
- Classroom Environment: Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.
- Reporting and Compliance: Prepare and submit reports as required by management, including student/staff hours, requisitions, and monthly student evaluations.
- Vocational Teaching Credential: Must have a vocational teaching credential or be able to obtain one within 6 months of hire.
- Practical Experience: Must have practical experience in the subject/trade area.
- Knowledge and Skills: Must have the ability to transfer topical knowledge to meet specific learning objectives and possess knowledge of methods needed to instill appropriate behavior and work habits in adolescent students.
